Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Delayed Until 2024

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been delayed until 2024. Rumors had started spreading last month that the game’s release date was no longer in 2023 and Rocksteady Studios has confirmed that is the case.

Why is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League delayed?

The official statement says the team will “take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players.” The result is that the game has been delayed by nine months to its new release date of February 2, 2024. Rumors had already claimed the game had been delayed from its May 2023 release window and would be pushed back into 2024; these have been proven true.

The statement does not say the delay is related to the player reception of the gameplay revealed during Sony’s last State of Play presentation, which was far from positive and criticized the game’s live service features, including the always-online requirement, Battle Pass, and in-game purchases. However, while nine months is not a substantial enough amount of time to completely redo the game, it may see some tweaks to those gameplay mechanics.

Rocksteady Studios has promised “much more to share in the coming months”, so only time will tell.
