The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor trophy list has been revealed before the game’s release in just a few days on April 28. It contains a whopping 54 trophies in total, with 23 that are hidden since they are mainly tied to the story. While getting every single trophy doesn’t seem as easy it was for Fallen Order, it looks like you’ll be able to nab every last one in a single playthrough, including the coveted Platinum Trophy, without having to adjust difficulties like in other games.

Getting the Platinum Trophy will still require a lot of effort

The full list of trophies for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can be found at PSN Profiles, which reveals the names and descriptions for all of the hidden trophies (so fair warning, some minor spoilers could be there).

Among all of the trophies, it looks like the most difficult or the most effort will be ones that require you to collect or complete every last particular thing. For instance, the “Blood, Sweat, and Tears” trophy requires you to complete all Force Tears. These transport Cal to special challenges where there can be enemies or platforming puzzles.

A few more examples are the “Gambler” trophy that requires you win every holotactics match and the “Reconnaissance” trophy that has you scan every type of enemy to fill out the Tactical Guide. Last but not least is the “I’m a Living Legend” trophy that forces Cal to defeat every legendary foe in the game.

As previously reported, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a massive download size on PS5 and physical copies will still require an internet download.

EA may not have exclusivity over the Star Wars license anymore, but that isn’t stopping them creating several games set in that universe. The publisher has announced there are a total of three Star Wars games in development, although DICE is not one of those studios and Star Wars Battlefront III is not one of those games. In fact, Respawn is the studio leading development and production of all three projects.

The next wave of Star Wars games

EA has confirmed Respawn is currently working on the next game in the action adventure Star Wars Jedi franchise. Game Director Stig Asmussen is in charge of the upcoming title. Other details weren’t revealed today and we don’t even know if it will be called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 as many fans are expecting. Rumors suggest a full reveal for the game could happen on May 4 ahead of its potential release in Q4 2022.

The second game is also in development at Respawn. This time, Peter Hirschmann is the Game Director on an “all-new Star Wars first-person shooter game“. Hirschmann has quite a pedigree in Star Wars games as he was executive producer on the original Star Wars Battlefront titles. Work has only just begun on this title.

Finally, the third title is a strategy in development at a new studio called Bit Reactor. The studio was founded by Greg Foerstch, who was previously Art Director at Firaxis and has worked on games like XCOM 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and the Civilization franchise.

So Star Wars Battlefront III isn’t in any of EA’s plans for now. Earlier reports suggest a pitch for the game was turned down due to licensing costs, and DICE is now busy trying to turn around the fortunes of beleagured shooter Battlefield 2042.

In other news, Final Fantasy XIV has returned to the PlayStation Store after a short break while Square Enix dealt with extreme server congestion. Elsewhere, Rebellion has announced a multiplayer invasion mode for Sniper Elite 5 similar to that seen in Deathloop.

Apex Legends will soon be getting a native PS5 version. The game appeared on the PlayStation Network database today although EA has yet to announce a release date for their promised next-gen version.

How big is Apex Legends on PS5?

Apex Legends will be over 80GB on PlayStation 5 and that’s without any updates, according to the database entry that was spotted by PlayStation Game Size on Twitter. Developer Respawn Entertainment had previously promised fans back in August that a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S update was in progress and that a target of 120FPS was “high on the priority list”. For now, PS5 players have to make do with playing the PS4 version on their console through backwards compatibility, although the game does get a performance boost up to 1440p on PS5.

Many players believe the PS5 version will arrive alongside Season 12, which is likely to launch in February. No details on the upcoming season have been released so far, but each new season usually introduces a new Legend and Battle Pass aat the very least. The current season’s Battle Pass is due to end on February 8. This would suggest a Season 12 launch date of February 9.

In other news, Final Fantasy XIV digital sales will finally restart later this month after developer Square Enix took steps to ease the extreme congestion their servers have been enduring over the past few months. Data center expansions will continue to occur throughout the year. Elsewhere, a tease from Insomniac that there was an undiscovered Easter Egg in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has sent fans on a treasure hunt.

Respawn Entertainment has a secret third game in development alongside Apex Legends and a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Up until recently, the game’s Creative Director was Mohammad Alavi. We say “recently” because Alavi recently announced he had left Respawn to head on his “next adventure”. Despite his departure, development of the game will continue.

If it’s not Titanfall 3 or Apex Legends 2, what is Respawn’s secret game

Respawn has previously described the game as a single-player adventure title. According to VentureBeat, the game is a AAA first-person shooter that is “striving for “mobility” and “style” as guiding principles”. Despite this description’s similarity to the Titanfall franchise, the game is not a sequel to either Apex Legends or Titanfall 2. The title is currently in the prototyping stage and will remain there throughout 2022. EA currently expects the project to be released in 2024 or even 2025.

Alavi had been employed at Respawn Entertainment for 11 years. He had senior roles throughout the Apex Legends and Titanfall franchises before taking a leading role on the secret project. Before that he worked at Infinity Ward and is perhaps best known as the designer of the controversial “No Russian” level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Where Alavi is heading next is a mystery although he did call his departure “the end of an era“.

In other news, Hitman 3 gets a completely new roguelike mode called Freelancer later this year. However, year 2 begins on January 20 with Elusive Target Arcade, the revamp of Elusive Targets the developer has been promising for months. Elsewhere, Blue Isle Studios announced a new multiplayer first-person shooter called LEAP.

Beginning today, the original Titanfall will no longer be available to purchase anywhere, and it will be removed from subscription services on March 1, 2022. The servers will continue to be active for the “dedicated fanbase still playing and those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match.” Respawn clarified that Titanfall is “core to Respawn’s DNA,” and promises that they will continue to create experiences within the universe.

The full message from Respawn reads:

Pilots,

Titanfall is part of our DNA at Respawn. It’s a game that showcased the ambitions of the studio when it was first released more than 7 years ago and it continue to be a beacon of innovation that we strive for in all of our games.

We’ve made the decision to discontinue new sales of the original Titanfall game starting today and we’ll be removing the game from subscription services on March 1, 2022. We will, however, be keeping server live for the dedicated fanbase still playing and those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match.

Rest assured, Titanfall is core to Respawn’s DNA and this incredible universe will continue. Today in Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends, and in the future. This franchise is a north star for the caliber of experiences we will continue to create here at Respawn.

Thank you from the entire Respawn team

Respawn’s decision comes following hacking issues that have made the multiplayer-only Titanfall largely unplayable in the face of the one or two people that the developer still has doing support for that original title. Removing Titanfall for new sales will not impact current owners at all, but its removal from subscription services may interrupt some players who were relying on those services to play the title. However, if you own Titanfall, you’ll still be able to play online, should you choose; The servers are not being shut down, at least not yet. The sequel, Titanfall 2, remains actively available for sale, and its servers are also online.

Respawn’s attention more recently has been focused on Apex Legends, the battle royale hero shooter set in the Titanfall universe. While rumors of a proper Titanfall 3 have cropped up in the past, nothing has yet come to fruition as the developer continues to send mixed messages about the future of the franchise without ever committing to a new Titanfall game proper.

A large number of unannounced titles have reportedly been revealed after a GeForce Now user unlocked the program and accessed NVidia’s internal database. As reported on Reddit, Ighor July attempted to recover some of his deleted GeForce Now titles and ended up finding more than he bargained for. Those listed games include Kingdom Hearts IV, a new BioShock title, a couple of Tomb Raider anniversary games, and even more PlayStation Studios titles destined for PC.

The database includes everything the company uses for testing, and the list of 18,000 titles includes many that have yet to be revealed. Titan Quest 2 and a new Outcast game will reportedly be unveiled at the THQ Nordic showcase on September 17, but some of the other titles that Reddit users have managed to find are:

  • “Fight for Middle-Earth”
  • Half-Life 2 Remastered
  • “Metro Next”
  • Human: Fall Flat 2
  • “Hangar 13 unannounced”
  • The Talos Principle 2
  • Untitled Respawn Game
  • Kingdom Hearts IV
  • Sniper Elite 5
  • Monster Hunter 6
  • Helldivers 2
  • Cities Skylines 2
  • Tomb Raider Anniversary (2021)
  • Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary (2021)
  • “Hitman Pro”
  • “Worms Next”
  • Destroy All Humans! 3
  • Earth Defense Force 6
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2
  • Wreckfest Sequel
  • Crysis 4
  • Resident Evil 4 Remake
  • ”Bioshock 2022”

Despite its age, the six-month old database also mentioned the existence of the recently revealed Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Other PlayStation Studios titles included God of War, Returnal, and Demon’s Souls, none of which have been mentioned for PC before now. A recent Sony presentation had stated they were planning to bring more of their games to PC so this comes as no surprise, if it does indeed end up being true. Despite previous rumors, there was no mention of a PC version of Bloodborne, and Spider-Man is also conspicuously absent from the leaked list.

It’s worth mentioning that everything in this list needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Not only does the list of 18,000 titles include genuine games, it also includes placeholder names for testing and projects that might even have been cancelled since the database was created. There’s a chance that nothing on this list is genuine, although admittedly that’s unlikely. Still, for the time being it’s best to consider this a rumor, and remember that none of these titles are officially confirmed until the publishers and developers themselves reveal them to be so.

The newest Apex Legends update will add a new legend named Seer to the game. Respawn Entertainment announced the new update details via its Stories from the Outlands “Metamorphosis” trailer as well as its official Apex Legends Twitter account. More information is planned for release on July 22, 2021, and the new season will go live on August 3, 2021.

Season 9 of Apex saw the addition of a new legend named Valkyrie—the daughter of Viper, one of the main antagonists of Titanfall 2. In addition to Valkyrie, the season also added a new 3v3 Arenas mode, as well as an updated Olympus map and further lore connections to the Titanfall universe. New emotes, skins, and Bowcek weapon were among the numerous cosmetic and gameplay changes that shook up the game’s meta and aesthetic for better or for worse.

The next season looks to continue that pace, adding a new legend named Obi aka “Seer” who seems to be a stealthy character that relies on their moth-themed microdrones. For the past week, Respawn has teased details about the new legend through various clues hidden throughout the existing maps, with many legends commenting on the legend of Obi’s “curse”. In the trailer, we can see further details about Obi’s background, including how they were born with special glowing eyes that were considered a “bad omen” by those around them.

Additionally, the new update is confirmed to include a new weapon called the Rampage LMG. The weapon is apparently the legend Rampart’s “newest invention” which will feature a “surprising source of firepower”. Furthermore, the popularly-demanded ranked Arenas will finally make a debut in the next update, along with an updated World’s Edge map that will have some “major changes”.

Respawn will announce further details about the upcoming season titled “Emergence” on July 22, 2021 in its full Emergence launch trailer reveal. If it’s anything like the previous season’s launch trailer reveal, we’ll likely get to see new information on any map updates and additions, as well as new weapons and Seer’s abilities.

Apex Legends is getting a new event called Thrillseekers, which will add a new Overflow arena map, three weeks’ worth of rewards, and unlockable cosmetics. Additionally, a special Summer Splash Sale and Thrillseekers Event Store will be available during this time. Both the Summer Splash Sale and Thrillseekers Event will start from July 13, 2021, with the sale ending on July 27, 2021.

The new Arenas map, titled “Overflow,” is an entirely new area and features three lanes that differentiate it from other maps. Structures filled with flowing lava separate each lane, obscuring vision and making it difficult to predict where the opponent team will attack from. There are two sides to choose from, called “Overlook” and “Slope”, with Overlook favoring long-range engagements while Slope allows for flanking opportunities.

Each week during the Thrillseekers event will feature a different reward track filled with various cosmetics as players rack up points. As an arenas-focused event, players will have to complete various challenges in the arenas such as getting kills and doing damage. Two skins are included for Rampart and Bangalore, as well as a total of 125 crafting materials and 4 Apex Packs. Completing stretch goals will also net players will special event badges.

Apex Legends Thrillseekers Event

The Summer Splash Sale will mark the return of the popular Voidwalker and Youngblood skins for Wraith and Bloodhound respectively, as well as three new skins for Fuse, Lifeline, and Octane. Each cosmetic comes with a number of Apex Packs at a discount, making this a great opportunity to get closer to earning that coveted Heirloom drop. The Thrillseekers event store will also open at this time, offering two matador-themed skins for Mirage and Gibraltar, as well as two boxing-themed skins for Revenant and Pathfinder.

The rumors were true, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did indeed get a PS5 version today, a free upgrade for all owners of the PS4 version. This new-gen version of the game brings higher resolution textures and assets, 4K resolution with HDR, improves the 60fps performance of the game, and has significantly faster loading times thanks to optimizations with the SSD. But perhaps the biggest news around the PS5 version of the game is its native compatibility with your save from the PS4 version.

With past releases, the PS5 version of any game counted as a whole new application and executable, with which save data from the previous PS4 version was not compatible. This resulted in players needing to have the PS4 version installed somewhere, update the game, upload the save data using an in-game save transfer, then retrieve that save from within the PS5 version of the game. We’ve seen this cumbersome system again and again with games like Marvel’s Avengers, Crash Bandicoot 4, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, and many more games that have received cross-gen upgrades. It was assumed that this was due to a limitation with how the PS5 applications read the save files.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PS5, however, is compatible with your PS4 save file without the need to go through a convoluted process. The only extra step you’ll need to take is importing the data into the PS5 version, but you won’t need the PS4 version of the game to do it. The PS4 save simply need to be in your system storage.

On PlayStation 5, ensure your console has the PS4 save data on system storage (either from previous PS4 version playtime on the console, download from Cloud storage, or transfer via USB stick).  From there, there will be a “Import PS4 System Save Data” prompt on the start-up screen.  Simply select that option and you will be able to utilize your older save data.

When you transfer your save over, you’ll unlock all of the Trophies you’ve already earned on PS4 for the PS5 version of the game. You’ll need to find a meditation area to save the game to trigger the unlocks, however.

Players of the PS4 version automatically qualify for a free upgrade. If you have the digital version of the game, your entitlements will transfer over and you can download the PS5 version now. If you have a physical version, you’ll have to have the disc in your PS5 to get the new-gen version. However, if you happen to have the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order disc, but an all-digital PS5, you can submit a ticket to EA to show proof of purchase and receive a digital upgrade code.

If you don’t already own the previous gen version, you can buy the acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PS5 now for just $39.99.

Apex Legends Season 9, otherwise known as the Legacy Update, goes live today. The update adds a brand new game mode, as well as a new Legend and accompanying weapon. The Olympus map has been altered, emotes have been introduced, and there’s a long list of bug fixes and gameplay improvements to check out.

Arenas is a new permanent game mode that deviates away from battle royale. The 3v3 mode tasks players with eliminating the other team on custom close quarters maps to win the round. Each team begins in a spawn room where weapons, gear and abilities are chosen. The overall winner is the first team to win at least three rounds with a two point lead over the other team. If the match is drawn at 4-4, a sudden death round will choose the winner. Party Crasher and Phase Runner are two new arenas created especially for the mode. These will be joined by three arenas created from areas of the battle royale maps and they’ll change on a bi-weekly rotation. Artillery from Kings Canyon, Thermal Station from World’s Edge, and Golden Gardens from Olympus will kick things off.

Speaking of Olympus, this map has been invaded by a fleet of ships. The lead ship, The Icarus, docked in the city and brought a parasitic plant with it. This has taken over the map, but it’s the ghost ship itself that is the biggest point of interest. The ship contains the bodies of unfortunate scientists who didn’t survive the landing and one of them contains a keycard. This gives players access to the ship’s bridge at the front, home to the best loot on the ship. Until next Tuesday, May 11, Olympus will be the only battle ryoale map in rotation so everyone gets to see the changes to the map.

Valkyrie is the latest Legend to join the game. She’s the daughter of Apex Predator Viper and managed to salvage his titan years after his death; it’s now taken the form of a rocket-firing jetpack. Her passive ability is the VTOL Jets that have a limited amount of fuel to allow her to reposition to higher places. The tactical ability is the Missile Swarm of mini-rockets that can’t be fired while flying. Her ultimate ability is the skyward dive which takes her (and her squadmates) into the sky to reposition far away across the map. Finally, she has scanning survey beacons that can reveal the next circle’s location.

The new Legend is accompanied by the new Bocek compound bow. Holding down fire increases the power, speed and damage of the shot. The bow uses arrows, a new rarer ammo type although they can be retrieved after being fired. Certain sights can be added to the weapon, while two new hop-ups — Shatter Caps and Deadeye’s Tempo — can be added simultaneously.

There are also new emotes for every Legend, a new Battle Pass, a new Ranked Season, and plenty of other changes that can be seen below.

Apex Legends Legacy Update Patch Notes

Starter Kit and Loot Changes

  • Players will now start a match with a “Starter Kit” consisting of a Level 1 EVO Shield, Helmet, and Knockdown Shield, plus two Shield Cells and Syringes each.
  • We’ve removed Level 1 Helmets and Knockdown Shields from the loot pool.
  • Spawn chances for Level 1 EVO Shields in the loot pool have been significantly reduced.
  • Along with the lowered or removed spawn chances for these items, we’ve rebalanced the loot pool such that higher-level versions of these items will appear nearly the same as they do now, but other item types will appear more often (weapons, ordinance, health, ammo, etc.)

Weapons Updates

Marksman Weapon Category

With the introduction of the Bocek bow, we felt it was a good time to introduce a new weapons category, Marksman Weapons, which will include the G7, 30-30, Triple Take, and Bocek. Weapons in this category are precision weapons that are most effective up to medium-long range, and are the sort of in-betweens of Assault Rifles and Snipers. This allows us to begin moving the settings of these weapons towards more consistent value for the class, and make the settings of ARs and Snipers more consistent with less outliers.

For starters, we are increasing the movement speed while aiming down sights for marksman weapons; They were at sniper speeds, and will now be between sniper and AR speeds. Additionally, we have done some targeted normalization of hipfire spread amounts.

Supply Drop Rotation

This season, we’re taking the Peacekeeper out of the supply drop and putting the Triple Take in its place. Of course, with any supply drop change, these weapons will have their stats updated. See how each weapon changes down below.

Crate Weapon Drop Rates:
Since we are exchanging a shotgun with a marksman weapon, now was a good time to rebalance the drop rates of crate weapons. The Kraber will spawn less often in the early game and more often in the mid game to better accommodate its power. The Triple Take will be the most common early game crate weapon, with the Prowler being the most prominent late game crate weapon.

Fully Kitted Rotation

  • Added: Wingman, Bocek, R99, Hemlock, and Sentinel
  • Removed: R301, 30-30 Repeater, Mozambique, Longbow DMR, and Spitfire

Hop Ups

  • Shatter Caps – Fire select to toggle between standard mode and shatter mode. In shatter mode, rounds split into a blast pattern on firing. This hop up will be equipable to the 30-30 Repeater and the Bocek.
  • Deadeye’s Tempo – Firing at the perfect moment increases fire rate. This can currently be attached to the Sentinel and the Bocek.
  • To make room, the Hammerpoint and Skullpiercer hop ups are being vaulted for now, and won’t be available.

Assault Rifles

  • Reducing the headshot multiplier for all assault rifles from 2.0 to 1.75

Peacekeeper

  • It comes with the Precision Choke by default, which can be toggled off
  • Pellet damage reduced from 10 to 9
  • Rechamber time increased from 0.9 seconds to 1.1 seconds
  • Reload times increased (regular from 2.45 to 2.5, empty from 3.35 to 3.5)
  • Pellet spread increased in general, and spread when charged increased for all charge levels (from 0.65/0.45/0.2 to 0.85/0.65/0.35)
  • Quickly loses charge after leaving ADS

Triple Take

  • As a crate weapon, it will come with a 9 ammo clip and 63 reserve ammo
  • Fire rate increased from 1.2 to 1.3
  • Time to full charge reduced from 1.1 seconds to 1 second
  • Retains charge briefly after leaving ADS
  • Move-speed while aiming down sights has been increased to match other marksman weapons — faster than snipers, slower than ARs
  • Increased spread while airborne and aiming down sights

Havoc

  • Increased recoil controllability early in the pattern

Spitfire

  • Reduced recoil controllability early in the pattern

30-30 Repeater

  • Increased leg damage multiplier from 0.75 to 0.85
  • Move-speed while aiming down sights has been increased to match other marksman weapons — faster than snipers, slower than ARs

G7 Scout

  • Move-speed while aiming down sights has been increased to match other marksman weapons — faster than snipers, slower than ARs
  • Increased hipfire spread size (reduced accuracy) to be more in line with other marksman weapons

Longbow

  • Increased headshot multiplier from 2.0 to 2.15

Wingman

  • Increased headshot multiplier from 2.0 to 2.15

Mozambique

  • Increased magazine capacity from 4 to 6
  • Moved the lower 2 pellets inward in the blast pattern

P2020

  • Increased bullet damage from 15 to 18
  • Lowered fire rate from 8.5 to 6.25

Quality of Life

  • Badges are now sorted by categories and can be filtered by “all” or “unlocked only”. This suggestion came directly from players. Thank you! It’s so much better!
  • When looting death boxes, players can now see health bars for everyone on the team.
  • Challenges can now be “favorited” by going into the challenges menu and right clicking a challenge. That Challenge will then be added to a new favorites tab that will appear in the lobby and in the match’s map screen.
  • Pressing and Holding F2 while in-game will bring up the ability description page for your character. This is only available on PC.
  • Players can now request better equipment by going into their inventory and pinging a piece of equipment.
  • Your first Challenge Reroll of the day is now free.
  • Rerolling your challenges will allow you to choose from either BR-focused challenges or Arenas-focused ones.
  • Holo Sprays, Quips, and Emotes, can be favorited. These will be used whenever the player is prompted to do a random emote.
  • Club Invites v2: You can now include what you want to play when you send your clubmates a party invite via the Club tab. Select as many club mates as you want to send the invite to at once via the member list.
  • Ranked: Fixed edge cases where an abandon penalty would be incorrectly applied due to server errors.
  • Flight path adjustments: Removing edge dropship flight paths to prevent matches where large portions of the map receive little to no traffic. These screenshots show a before/after comparison of possible flight paths on Kings Canyon.

Ring Update

We’re continuing work from the Fight Night update to improve match pacing towards the end of the game. We’re slowing down the closing speed of the late game Rings to allow you more time to fight and maneuver your way into the Ring. We’re also reducing the “waiting” time before Rings 4 and 6 start to close.

  • Ring 4 pre-shrink time reduced from 2:00 to 1:45
  • Ring 4 shrink speed reduced from 33 second close time to 40 seconds
  • Ring 5 shrink speed reduced from 20 second close time to 40 seconds
  • Ring 6 pre-shrink time reduced from 1:30 to 1:00
  • Ring 6 shrink speed reduced from 1:40 close time to 2:00
